Welcome to BENV7813 Contemporary Fabrication Techniques

Hi All,

Welcome to BENV7813 Contemporary Fabrication Techniques.

The aim of this elective is to improve your architectural model making and thinking through consideration of, and direct exposure to, contemporary fabrication techniques. To be successful in this elective the models you build will be well made, beautiful and thoughtfully employ contemporary fabrication techniques.

It's a great opportunity to take your architectural model making and design to the next level.

Previous graduates of the course have won the AIA student medal.

This year we are really fortunate to have Daniel Falzon as a tutor. Daniel has extensive wood working experience running his own high end joinery company for almost two decades.

Come back to this blog often, it's our main vehicle for communication with you. It will host a series of posts that describe what we will be doing in class each week as well as provide inspirational examples. It will also have links to all your blogs, where you'll keep a diary of your progress and submit your work for assessment.

See you all at the first class in the BE DesgnLab (24hr space) at 1:30pm on the 4th of June.
